No political talk in this Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom review

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom review

Plot

It felt like most of the things in this movie happened “because he’s Nelson Mandela”. They brushed over some things and lingered on others for too long.

Characters

It was interesting that they chose to show both the good and bad aspects of Nelson Mandela.

Visuals

Good use of makeup, and the mixture of real footage helped remind me that the movie was based on actual events.

Product Placement

Two movies in a row with no product placement at all. This trend can’t possibly last.

Rewatchability

Not too bad, but Lethal Weapon 2 is still my favorite film that deals with Apartheid issues.
