I love gangster movies.** Have I ever mentioned that? They’re my favorites.
This seemed more like a western disguised as a gangster film, though, and westerns are one of my least favorite genres.

Almost everyone did great jobs, and Shia was obviously trying his best to not be his usual self, but he didn’t quite make it.
A little bit of color filters is okay, but they went overboard with it quite a bit.
Lots of vintage signs around, but who cares? Most of that stuff isn’t made anymore anyway.
Call me a squeamish wimp, but it was just too bloody and violent for me.
If I want to see a good film about gangsters and a filling station, I’ll just watch the much more interesting The Petrified Forest instead.
