I Give It a Year review

Don’t wait a year before entering TIWAM’s 2nd annual Tell Me I’m Wrong Contest. You’ll miss out on winning this year’s actual real prizes and such!

Ugh. This movie tried way too hard to be funny, and didn’t know when to stop.

I had forgotten about Stephen Merchant. I didn’t need to be reminded, movie.

My general appreciation for Rose Byrne is the only thing keeping this section from getting a 1, actually.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen opening credits that interact with the scene. I still love it.

Product Placement

This is one of those times that I wish there had been something to take points off for. This movie doesn’t deserve a 2.0, but I am a slave to the system, after all.

I came really close to turning this off about once every 5 minutes or so, but I stuck it out because some people think I only review movies I like.

  1. I loved this movie, beginning to end. I made several people watch the movie because I enjoyed it so much. They had similar reactions to you. I guess that is why there are so many different types of humor.

    • Exactly. Everyone likes different things, and I think that’s great.

I try to make sure these reviews are mostly “here’s what I thought of the movie” and not “here’s what you should think of the movie”.

  2. This movie was bad, but the ending redeemed it. You’re right, it tried, so hard to be funny that it fell flat.
