This movie is stuffed full of sight gags, puns, one-liners, and a nice multi-layered take on the whole “be yourself” message. How did I not love this the first two times I saw it?
I have a feeling the absence of Mr. T in the sequel is going to be my least favorite part. Somehow that feels like a double negative, but you know what I mean.
Even during my first and second viewings (you know, when I didn’t like it much), the one aspect I loved was the way it looks. The character designs are great, and the animation is so smooth.
They missed a good opportunity to cross promote with some limited edition real Baby Brent’s sardines, eh?
Jell-O doesn’t count, because it’s a regional dialect thing, like “Coke” or “Kleenex” sometimes are.
I hesitated to review this one for quite a while, and now I’m considering keeping the DVD.
