Plot
The dilemma set up in this movie can seem pretty trivial from the outside, but it draws you in to the point that the future of the quartet seems like the most important thing in the world.
Characters
Philip Seymour Hoffman is a great actor, but I very rarely enjoy the films he’s in. It’s great to finally find one that goes against the norm in that regard.
Visuals
This is one film where the visuals aren’t important. It’s all about the characters, the story, and the soundtrack.
Product Placement
No, Sotheby’s doesn’t count.
Rewatchability
I felt so sophisticated while I was watching this. I think it was all the string music.

HAHAHAHAHA!!! I have missed your blog since you ventured out, I saw this movie and agree with you on every point, especially the one about how good of an actor PSH is and how I don’t like the movies he’s in usually. Also, I must say since Christopher Walken has gotten older, he seems a little more feeble and it’s discouraging I guess. He seemed like a much stronger actor before and now he just seems old. Ok, whew I was very long winded on this one.
I’ve still been posting daily since the move without missing a day!
I saw Seven Psychopaths last night and it was even more evident there that he seems old and sad. He’s still great though!
Yes that was where I first saw his age not just creeping up on him, but devouring him. But I still love him too.
Have you seen $5 a Day? That one was great
No I will need to check that one out. I did just watch a movie called Price Check, check that one out let me know what you think.
I think I know which one you’re talking about. I haven’t seen it yet.
